The More the Merrier: Vero from @stylemintd
The More the Merrier is this week’s Birth Post series devoted to mums of twins or multiples. Three mothers tell us how their life changed with receiving the news of expecting not of just one but more babies.
Vero’s life is full of seeming contradictions. She is a fashion blogger, living a socialite life, but between her stunning outfit pictures you also come across those that depict her ordinary life with her baby daughters. Vero doesn’t stop to surprise. Lack of sleep? No, not her problem. Lack of time? On the contrary — her time management skills have never been better! Being a twin mother she proves that the double amount of love makes everything possible.
Hello Vero, how are you feeling today?
I am doing great, thank you for having me! I am running after these little girls all day long these days.
What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me. Today I had eggs on rye bread and a
glass of orange juice.
How old are the twins now?
The twins are 17 months old, time flies!
What are their names?
Natalia Sofia & Alessandra Valentina.
What was your first reaction when you found out you were expecting not one but two children?
I absolutely could not believe it. I was in total shock even after that first doctor’s appointment. It was an emotional roller coaster. It still is.
How was your delivery?
My entire pregnancy was quite difficult, I suffered many complications. It was a highly supervised pregnancy, so, ironically, the delivery was the easiest part. I had a gentle c-section planned at 36 weeks, no pain and absolute happiness to have the girls with me.
What has been the biggest change in you life since you became a mother of twins?
Every single thing in my life has changed! Mostly my daily routine, but also my patience and time management skills have improved.
What was the biggest shock or surprise?
Everybody kept telling me that the sleepless nights were a serious thing. I couldn’t believe that the girls were sleeping through the night at only two months old. They still don’t wake up in the middle of the night, so I feel very happy and really lucky to get my beauty sleep every night. 🙂
Where at home do you display the twins’ Birth Poster?
In the living room. That’s the part of the house where we spend most of our time together with the girls.
Do you have any pro tips for women who out find out they’re going to have twins?
Having twins is the best thing that could ever happen to you. It is such a special and unique experience as a mother, and as a woman. It is a lot of fun and most importantly you always receive double the amount of love!!!
